ARGYL Repeaters



The A.R.G.Y.L. (Ameteur Radio Group of Youth in Lowell) owns and operates two repeaters. Both of them are located at Lowell High School- 11700 Vergennes St- Lowell, Michigan. The following is information about both repeaters.


2-Meter Rpeater (K8LHS)
This repeater operates on a frequency of 146.620 with a minus (-) offset and requires a PL tone of 94.8. Echolink is available on this repeater.

"Accessing"
Autopatch with a slot number: Key up, enter the three digit autoslot number, unkey. Press # (pound) to disconnect when finished.
Autopatch with phone number: Key up, enter * (star) followed by the phone number, unkey. Press # (pound) to disconnect when finished.
Time of day: Key-up, enter '80', unkey.
Keypad test: Key-up, press '4', enter the keys you want to test, unkey.
Echotest: Key-up, enter '822', unkey. After "Start test now" key up and leave a short message. Unkey and the repeater will play back the message.
Play a message on track 1: Key-up, press '72501', unkey.
Play a message on track 2: Key-up, press '72502', unkey.

Reverse Autopatch
Caller: Call 987-2547, after beep enter 810 and the last two numbers of the person's slot number trying to be reached followed by # (pound).
Reciever: The repeater will ring, then announce the call sign of the person trying to be reached. If it's your call sign, key up and enter 810. When you are through with the conversation, hit # (pound) to disconnect. Then remember to identify.


70 cm (440) Repeater (K8LHS)
This repeater operates on a frequency of 443.850 (output), with an imput frequency of 448.850. This repeater requires a PL tone of 94.8. Echolink is not available on this repeater. At some point in time, we may do some cross-band operating using the 2-meter repeater frequencies and the 70 cm (440) repeater frequencies.
